***Important information regarding CNA Class***

There are no scheduled classes at this time.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, and be at least 18 years old to apply for the class. Our CNA class is not a paid training class. The class is offered Monday-Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and it is a six week program. There will be a $100.00 non-refundable fee for anyone accepted into the class (we only accept ten students). Upon successful completion of the class students in good standing will be offered a full time position. Available shifts will vary depending upon the staffing needs of our nursing department at that time.

RN's, LPN's and CNA's

• Part Time LPN/RN's 10:45PM-7:15AM: Must have graduated from an accredited state approved school, and hold a current state license.
• Full Time CNA's 6:45AM-3:00PM, 2:45PM-11:00PM & 10:45PM-7:00AM: Must have completed a State approved Nurse Aide class and hold a valid state license.
• Part Time CNA'S: 6:45AM-3:00PM, 2:45-11:00PM, and 10:45PM-7:00AM : Must have completed a state approved Nurse Aide class and hold a valid state license.
• Full Time PM Dishwasher 12:30PM-9:00PM: Must be able to read, write, communicate clearly, and be able to follow written/verbal instruction. Must be able to have the ability to lift 50lbs., and be able to interact with residents, and co-workers in a polite, professional manner.
• Full Time Housekeeper 7:00AM-3:00PM: Must be able to read, write, speak the English language to be able to effectively communicate with residents/co-workers, and stand/walk for long periods of time.

ASSISTED LIVING

(Positions at The Oaks, Joseph C. Thomas Center, Memory Care & Enrichment Center)

CNA & NA applicants must be certified or possess a certificate of NA training.
Med Aides must be registered by the State of VA.

Joseph C. Thomas Center

• Part Time Server 4:00PM-7:00PM: Must be able to read, write, speak the English language to be able to effectively communicate with residents/co-workers, stand/walk for long periods of time, and be able to work as a team member.

The Oaks

• Full Time Housekeeper 8:00AM-4:00PM:Must be able to read, write, speak the English language to be able to effectively communicate with residents/co-workers, and stand/walk for long periods of time.

INDEPENDENT LIVING & SERVICE AREA

• Full Time Security Guard II 12:00AM(midnight)-8:30AM: Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language to be able to effectively communicate with residents, co-workers, employees, and visitors. Must be able to stand/walk for long periods of time, and hold a valid current driver's license. A DCJS unarmed security certification is preferred.
