The Joseph C. Thomas Center

Our assisted living program at the Joseph C. Thomas Center offers comprehensive services tailored to meet individual needs. We strive to provide an environment that is nurturing, safe, and comfortable in order to preserve independence, and enhance the quality of life for our residents. Home-like comforts include attractively furnished private rooms with space for favorite belongings, private baths, ‘house’ kitchen, laundry room, meals served family-style, comfortable common areas and attractively landscaped courtyards.

There are 6 different "Houses" within The Joseph C. Thomas Center, each with the same layout and floor plan. Colors and decorations change from House to House, but features and layout do not change.

  • Home-like comforts include attractively furnished private rooms, which include a twin bed, dresser, chair and window treatments. There is space for a favorite chair and other personal touches to make the room more 'homey'.
  • Personal shadowboxes are located outside the door of every room, enabling residents to display personal mementos from their past.


The Community Area within Each House

  • For personal laundry, each House is equipped with a washer and dryer, which is available for use by residents or family members free of charge

 

The Greeting Areas Near Front Door

Residents and guests are enouraged to make themselves at home in all common areas.

 

The Renaissance Café

The Renaissance Cafe' offers residents a place to visit with loved ones, have a snack or gather with friends to work on projects.

Fees and Services for the Joseph C. Thomas Center

Monthly Fees May Include the Following Services and Amenities:

  • Individual Service Plans designed to identify and meet the needs of each resident
  • Licensed Nurse on duty or on call 24 hours per day
  • Resident Assistants on duty around the clock
  • Medication administration
  • Assistance with personal care including bathing, dressing and personal hygiene
  • Three nutritious meals per day featuring family style dining
  • Snacks available 24 hours per day in the house kitchen or Cafe’
  • Private dining available in the Andrew Lewis Room for special occasions
  • Social, educational and recreational programs
  • Emergency call response system in room and bathroom
  • Private bathroom, in each room, with a sit-down shower
  • Complete sprinkler & smoke detection systems throughout the building
  • Comfortable common areas including front porches, the Fireplace Room, Crafts Room and Cafe’
  • Enclosed garden patios
  • Bed and bath linens (including laundering)
  • Free use of washers and dryers by residents or family member
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance services
  • Campus security twenty-four hours a day
  • Services of campus chaplain if needed

Private Accommodations Recovery / Vacation Stays
Level 1 - $2,955 /month $120 /day (private room)
Level 2 - $3,335 /month  

Level 1 = No assistance required with ADL’s or medication management
Level 2 = Requires assisted living services to include help with ADL’s & medications
